Rodolfo

This is an art piece I made in one of my school subjects. Since the time that I made this, we were learning about different art techniques, I figured to incorporate an impasto painting technique.

I honestly thought I didn't perpetuate enough since I lacked the proper art materials to use (which are palette knife and tons of oil paint I suppose), but nevertheless I continued to finish it.

The meaning behind this painting was made on spot. As I was picturing the image of a man's face, I made his red nose a main part of it. Imitating Rudolph from Santa's reindeers. I then searched the story of the said deer and it was believed by some people that he was an inspiration from Jesus Christ. It certainly shocked me knowing that information so I tried to make him as similar to the paintings of Jesus by giving him curly hair and faint beard.
