This is a painting made on a tote bag, taking inspiration from Philippine's National Artist Francisco V. Coching comics and filmography titled 'Talipandas'.

The reason I picked this out of all the comics Coching has created because I liked the meaning of the story. "Talipandas" is a word in Filipino translating dissolute, insolent, lewd, corrupt, indecent or immoral. You might ask why I chose this as an inspiration. In the original komiks of Coching the story started of with Esperanza, the main character (the woman on the painting) mother dies from a beating by Raul, the father who had abandoned them even before she was born and vows to seek out Raul and try to avenge her mother's death. Talk about Femme Fatale! Definitely one of my favourite story concepts. This also reminded me one of my most favourite films 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,' which serves as a huge inspiration for me appreciating the film and story making culture.
